 Undergraduate Summer Research Internship

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (formerly UDCT, Mumbai) is a premier centre for educational and research excellence in India.  We provide an environment and resources for research and learning that exist in only a handful of other institutions in the country.  The UGC-Networking Resource Centre at the Department of Chemical Engineering, provides funds to support up to 30 undergraduate student interns over the summer. These interns will do research on some frontier of Chemical Engineering under the supervision of our world-renowned faculty.  The degree of rigour demanded is high and the work done often gets published in high-impact factor peer-reviewed international journals.  Each intern will receive a stipend of Rs. 2,000/-.  Limited hostel accommodation may be available.  The internships are for a period of 6 weeks from 19th May 2014 to 30th June 2014.  How to apply: Any student from a UGC/AICTE recognized Chemical Engineering program in India may apply. (a) Resume,

(b) Statement of Purpose (an essay of 500 words or less on why he/she desires to do a summer internship with us) and

(c) a scanned copy of Recommendation from Head of Student’s Department/Institution on official letterhead, as mandatory attachments.

Incomplete applications will not be processed.
