As a Software Engineer, Intern in the Media Group of Interactive Intelligence, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with scientists at the leading edge of technology; these individuals solve real problems to make speech technologies better. In the past few years, intern projects have resulted in new product features, prototypes, patents, and stepping stones for doctoral research.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Work with a team of research scientists in literature survey of existing technologies in the areas of computational linguistics, speech recognition and synthesis, signal analysis, and information retrieval
• Prototype systems using home grown or public domain toolkits
• Analyze and optimize the performance of existing signal analysis algorithms
• Knowledge in at least one of the following technology areas: Machine Learning, Speech and language Processing, and/or Linguistics and Signal processing
• Work in a self-driven, fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively in writing and in person

Minimum Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Computer Science
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S
